SPIDER-MAN' PS4 2 RELEASE DATE, NEWS FOR GREAT AND EPIC SEQUEL

Spiderman Sony’s PlayStation 4 might not have snagged the coveted Game of the year  award, but it’ll go down in history as one of the most iconic Spidey video games of all time.

Developer by Insomniac Games, Spider-Man gave gamers total freedom to swing and parkour across an incredibly detailed rendition of New York City as their favorite superhero and has sold 13.2 millions coppies at july 2019And there’s plenty of evidence that suggests Insomniac will be releasing a sequel.

Sony announcedthat it had acquired Insomniac on Monday, a move that essentially confirms a second Spider-Man game will arrive. The studio has partnered with Sony to create exclusive games for its consoles for more than two decades. Now, it’ll be directly backed up by the conglomerate to keep doing what it does best.

Insomniac CEO Ted Prince said the developer fully intends to continue delivering on the games that made Insomniac what it is today, in a Thursday statement to fans.

“Today we announced that Insomniac has a new home,” he wrote. “It feels more like a homecoming though. We’ve collaborated with Sony for more than 20 years—spanning all four PlayStation consoles, 20 total games and six franchises. We still work closely today with many of the same Sony teammates as we did when we released the original Spyro the Dragon in 1998.”

This will more than likely include a follow-up to Spider-Man PS4. Here’s all the hints and evidence we’ve dug up that supports that claims for a sequel:

WHEN IS SPIDER-MAN PS4 2 RELEASE DATE?

Spider-Man PS4 was released in September 2018 and was announced at E3. It took Insomniac roughly 4 years to create, with development beginning in 2014. That means fans of the game might need to wait at least a few years before they even hear about the sequel.

Sony or Insomaniac have yet to officially announce anything about a sequel. But if Insomniac began development of the sequel this year (that’s a big if), we might not see a release until 2023 if it takes just as long to make as the original.

It’s possible that a sequel might actually be done quicker, seeing as Insomniac has refined one of its propriety support the game’s open world. But with the next-generation Ps 5expected in mid-to-late 2020, the developer might need to make some tweaks to its technology to make the most out of he new hardware.

WHAT CONSOLE WILL SPIDER-MAN 2 BE RELEASED ON? PS4? PS5?

The sequel will almost certainly be released exclusively on the PS5, because of the short time left in the current generation of consoles and how much of a hit it was for the PS4.

Sony even released a spider man 0s4 special bundle when the game was launched. It could do the same thing with the PS5 to boost sales and convince games to pick the new PlayStation instead of an Xbox scarlet which the potential new Spider-Man game will almost definitely not be playable on.

This moment is a pivotal development between the two characters and lays the groundwork for a Peter to become a mentor for Miles, much like the dynamic between the two in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

This suggests GTA 6 will build on the success of GTA Online by integrating more live service options - or it could just be the framework for GTA Online 2 outright.
